AIRT-FIU

OBJECTIVE: To conduct research and training surrounding the use of low-altitude unmanned aerial systems such as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), tethered aerostat systems (TAS), balloons, kites, and related technologies for use in complex emergencies, disasters, and catastrophes.
The AIRT-FIU team also offers UAS resources to the State of Florida and mutual-aid partners which can be deployed as single-unit resources, strike teams, or as part of a task force per FEMA's ICS/NIMS model.
